My Initial days! -My NEET Stories

As a kid, whenever somebody asked me- What I wanted to become in life, I would answer DOCTOR. But this little kid didn't know that getting one MBBS seat with the competition of 17-18 lakhs students every year wasn't an easy job!

With a dream of getting into a good junior college for my class 11th and 12th, I worked hard and secured 95.5% in CBSE 10.

It was a happy moment for me! Coming in a local newspaper was always a dream. A dream come a moment for me!

I took admission in one of the oldest colleges in our district. In the beginning, I found class 11 very difficult. Everything seemed new: those physics derivations, chemistry experiments, biology diagrams, maths permutations and combinations, etc. I was very tensed when I saw myself scoring less in-class tests. I started by-hearting things without understanding the concepts. Finally, I managed to score 91.71% in class 11.  As I didn't understand the concepts of class 11, I wasn't able to solve any previous year's questions of NEET. I used to watch Alakh Pandey's sir's videos for physics to understand the concepts. I slowly started to cope with my concepts!

Then came the disaster-COVID 19! All the schools and colleges were shut down and physical classes were turned into online classes!! Our Class 12 lectures started and I started focusing on boards as I was tensed if I will be able to score well in Class 12 boards. Even though I aspired to join MBBS, I was preparing for my state CET also because my parents had warned me that I won't be allowed to take a drop for NEET in case I don't make it out that year. For CET, Class 12 board marks were also considered so I had to score well in the boards. I worked hard and did well in my preparatory exams which were "offline". Then again came the LOCKDOWN 2.O!! Once again schools and colleges went closed and board exams were canceled. My hard work went in vain!

The date of the NEET exam was announced. I barely had 3.5 months to prepare for the exam. I started preparing for both NEET and CET.

On 28 and 29 August 2021, I gave CET. I did well in the exam and got 4.2k rank in the state which was enough to get into one of the top engineering colleges in my state.

On 12 September 2021, I gave NEET and.....

*Uff! I'm tired. I'll share my NEET experiences in the next blog.*

UNTIL THEN GOODBYE!
